Know Your Real Personality
Personality – What does it mean exactly? A person’s distinct character or in simple words, the way we present our self. It includes the way we talk, walk, our looks, nature, manners, behavior, dressing sense, aim etc.
In general if I’ll ask you “Who are you?” Most of you will give me answers telling your name or profession. Say “I am Sanya” or ‘I am a teacher’ But here I would like to say “Is your name or your profession is your identity? There can be many people with the same name and same profession. What is your UNIQUE IDENTITY?
You must have your own identity apart from your spouse, work, rank, office, profession, influence and activity. You are not merely somebody’s son or daughter or wife or husband, not merely the one who does such and such work, “YOU ARE YOURSELF”.
In real sense I can say- “I am my body, mind, talent will, heart, ability, qualities, virtues, defects, character, ambition, efforts, past, present, future, my relationships, attitude and approaches.”
Self discovery and self knowledge are the stepping stones of self progress. I will be what I want to make my self. What I am is God’s gift to me and what makes my self is my gift to God. My life will go according to me. Life is very precious live it to its full extend. When we discover ourselves we discover the life force within and becoming innovators of new way of life.
Start thinking about your self in this way:-
“How great you can be?
How much you can love?
What you can accomplish?
What your potential is?”
Then you will have an absolute different point of view about yourself.
Even our personality changes with the view points as well. Take an example of a woman, who is a teacher in front of her students, a mother in front of her children, a wife with her husband, a co-worker with other staff, same way a daughter, sister, daughter-in-law etc. Is her personality is same at each and every place? No, not at all. She has different personalities in different circumstances, different places and in front of different people.
If I tell you that you are not one but three persons at a time, what will be your response? You will say I have gone mad, but no dear this is true, it is based on view points, wants to know how:-
“The one you think you are,
The other one, other people think you are,
And the one God knows you are.”
Human beings have a general tendency of hiding their inner self. Each one of you must be having some qualities or defects which are absolutely hidden from everyone. We always think about our loss, defects, what we haven’t got, and become pessimist. Without realizing our potential for greatness, we get lost in closed circuit of thinking, drowned in our own petty world, immense in our petty quarrels and jealousies.
Instead let us awake, arise and aim at the stature we are capable of arriving at. Human beings are self making and self perfecting creation of God. Men and women have within themselves immense possibilities of knowing, loving and developing themselves.
So now lets know your self better and
